About the Department

Mechanical Engineering as programme in the College of Science and Engineering was born at the inception of the University in 2010/2011 session, with staff and student population of 2 and 22 respectively. The first Head of Department was Prof Adeniyi Jones and he served in this capacity as the Head of four Engineering Departments till the decentralization of Departments in 2013.
